Who swapped my dog out?

Today you just get random musings from a crazy lady. Me, that is.

But I must ask you all–did one of you stop by my house and swap Indy out with a less skittish Swissy the same age, size and with the same markings? And in heat? And how did you get her to answer to Indy so quickly? And why do Gryffin & Beowulf think she is Indy?

I ask this because since the baby girl has been in heat (since last Thursday) she has been a different dog. She’s all kiss-y, which I guess could be because she’s licking herself clean and loves to then try to wipe it off on us. She’s loving people she’s never met, or has only met once or twice. Which, by the way, is not enough for her unless the first two meetings were more than 3 hours each and were filled with food.

Perhaps it’s because she’s currently getting completely immersed in weirdness. Since our kitchen is getting redone, there are different people at our house every day. But she started this weirdness before construction started on Monday, so who really knows.

Dan thinks we should go have her fixed RIGHT NOW to see if we can get this behavior to stick. Otherwise, it will probably only last until her next heat cycle, and then she’ll go back to crazy skittish dog.

Either way, I love her.
