She’s a maniac!

Not really, I just have that song on my mind for some reason. Good old Michael Sembello.

Thursday night was our second class up at Shalay. Honestly, Indy is really shining there. She came the closest to going into a down without food yesterday than she ever did. I mean, she almost went without a little tug on her collar, which she has never done. She sits pretty well, does great stands, is a little slow on heeling (a little far behind) but is generally doing a great job here. Maybe it’s because she’s almost eight months old, (OMG, my little girl is growing up) but I’m just proud of her.

For the first time ever, we put a harness on her. We had her drag around a small, (very light) bike tire, and then we moved to a little bitty cart for a few minutes. Nothing heavy, all very light. She was a natural with the tire, so I think we have some weight pulling in our future, and only got slightly worried with this cart thing so close behind her. Not all Swissies take to it, but she was a superstar! I’m so happy for her. I’m going to look for an inexpensive harness for home (since she’s still growing) and I think I’m going to get her a small cart. Maybe even two so Gryffin has one that we can transport a little better.
