Remembering
Thursday, September 11th, 2008 | Random Stuff
Will 9/11 always be a sad day? It’s 7 years after the terrorist attacks, and I am still full of memories of how I felt that day. The shock, the sadness, the fear. I lost 1 friend who worked in the Towers. But every year, I meet more people and learn more about their families and friends who died. I’m not a big crier, but I still tear up when I read stories of those who were affected. Children who lost their parents, a woman who lost her brother, the dogs that helped search and rescue. All of it.
I hope someday we can move past the incredible grief and instead somehow celebrate life. We are probably nowhere near ready yet.
