I am so disappointed right now. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised about this, but I am.
I took Indy on a good long hike and thought I’d pass through the Farmer’s Market in downtown Downers Grove since it’s almost over for the year and I’ve not been through yet. Well, we got about halfway through and were told we had to leave because the health department won’t allow dogs. In and OPEN AIR MARKET. For what, health reasons? I would think that vendors themselves might now want dogs passing through because of the food and all, but seriously. I’m not really sure why the health department won’t allow dog through a section of the town that is completely open air, but they’ll let that big fat guy who is sneezing and hacking everywhere wait in line for fresh donuts. I’ve been through before with Swissies, although not this year. Needless to say, I am not pleased.
Watch out health department. I’m going to make an issue out of this.

That’s crazy! I’ve never heard of a Farmers Market not allowing dogs. In fact, my in-laws were so excited that they met another Swissy at their Farmers Market down in Carbondale, IL.
