another thing to keep in mind if you&#039;re dealing with an individual owner who is reluctant about pets in his house (i.e. you want to rent from the person who owns the house - not a property management company), you can usually help your case by showing your dog&#039;s CGC, getting your vet to write a &quot;recommendation&quot; letter regarding the temperament and training of your pet, and possibly, if you have rented before, getting a recommendation from your prior landlord. Also, volunteering to pay for bi-yearly carpet cleanings or purchasing a steam cleaner can also convince some reluctant owners.
