Indy & I have a thing

Well, we probably have more than one. But I just noticed how much of a thing this has become last night.
Most every night, I read before bed. When I’m ready to go to sleep, I get up, find Indy in the hall (she’d be in the bedroom if I let her), and give her the “kennel up” command. She grudgingly gets up and wanders into the crate. But I’ve noticed that she’s always going in from the same angle, turning the same way, and lying down in the same place. To be honest, I noticed that part a while ago.
But here’s the new thing. A couple of weeks ago, I started getting on the floor in front of the crate and sneaking my head in. I’d pull my forehead to hers and snuggle while rubbing her behind the ears. I realized it was a thing with her too because last night, for the first time, she put her forehead forward first and clunked it right into mine. It didn’t hurt. Then she looked up at me with those big, brown eyes and waited until I started rubbing. It was very cute.
