I heart my dogs

When you’ve had a really hard day, there’s nothing better than a joyful, loving dog (or 4) greeting you when you walk in the door.

Sunday was a bad day for me. My office had a flood. Our AC in the server room shut down, the room got up to somewhere in the range of 160 degrees, and the sprinkler head (water, not the chem system that should deploy) released. Big mess, so on and so forth. I won’t bore you with the details.

I worked somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 hours. I got home, opened the door, and was greeted by a happy (if not somewhat sleepy), Swissy (Indy), a propeller-butt basset, and eventually by a groggy Swissy (Gryffin), and an ancient beagle. They were all cute and jumpy and made a fair amount of the day’s stress go away.

I wish they were here with me today.

I totally know what you mean… they really can make lemonade out of a lemon day! I love my pooches too and love to come home to wagging tails and smooches.
